Obituary of Jaylon J. McKee
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jaylon McKee on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 at his home in Bristol, CT. Jaylon McKee was born on May 23rd, 1992 in Hartford, CT. Jaylon grew up in East Hartford with his mother Tammy McKee and his brother Jermaine McKee.
Upon the passing of his mother Tammy, Jaylon moved in with his Uncle Jay, Auntie Julie and their son Dominick. Together, they moved to Southington, CT. Jaylon attended and graduated from Southington High School on June 19th, 2012. While in high school Jaylon was a proud member of the Southington High School Football team and Rugby team.
After graduation, Jaylon went on to attend classes for Criminal Justice at Lincoln Technical Institute in Southington, CT and he also took classes at Tunxis Community College in Farmington, CT.
At the time of his passing, Jaylon was employed by Market 32 in Torrington, CT where he worked as the Assistant Dairy Team Lead which involved him training and supervising dairy staff, inventory management, product ordering and much more. He also worked and helped in other departments.
Jaylon had the biggest smile and could light up any room with his contagious laugh and loving presence. He was always making people laugh and wanted to have a good time. Jaylon was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan, Go Birds! He was a sports fan, always down to have a catch and enjoyed shooting hoops with his younger brother Dominick, as well as his friends. In addition to sports, Jaylon enjoyed rough housing with the family dog Mercy, watching his favorite comedians and movies and spending time with all his family and friends. Jaylon had a heart of gold and wanted to help the ones he loved.
Jaylon is survived by his siblings, elder Brothers; Jermaine McKee and Elijah Williams, and elder Sister; Danielle Rodriguez, younger Brother; Dominick Napoletano, Nephew; Jayden Ruiz, Chosen Mom; Julie Napoletano and her partner Mark Purdy, Grandmother; Sandra McKee, his Maternal Uncle; Richard McKee and his wife Joanna McKee, Sister in-law; Tanya Simon and 1st cousins; Brittany Williams, Joshua Monahan, Shameca Williams, and a host of Aunt’s and Uncle’s, family members and friends that became family. He was predeceased by his mother; Tammy McKee, Uncle; Jason Monahan, and cousin; Yunique Hawkins.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Jaylon has touched are invited to his calling hours at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square in New Britain, CT on Monday February 12th, 2024 from 5 pm-7pm. Burial will be held privately.
