Obituary of Margaret P. White

Margaret P. (Pape) White, 98, of New Britain, died Wednesday (Oct. 4, 2023) surround by her family. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Harold and Josephine (McCue) Pape, she lived most of her life in Berlin. She was the widow of the late Robert White.

Margie spent her career in education, teaching at Vance School in New Britain. She then married the love of her life and dedicated her life to raising her children, taking care of numerous aunts and her beloved parents. She was a volunteer at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and the Friendship Center. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing, bowling, cooking, fishing, and gardening, and loved all dogs. She was also a member of the New Britain Junior League.

Margie is survived by her children, Rob and his wife, Patricia White of Collinsville, Margo and her husband Michael Doran of White Plains NY, Chris and his wife, Laura White of New Hartford, Elizabeth and her husband Frank Schreiner of Kensington: her grandchildren, Alyse Hayden White and husband Matt, Matthew White and wife AmyJo, Luke Doran and wife Vani, Ryan Doran and wife Maura, Kiel Doran and wife Amanda, Liam Doran and wife Rebecca, Chris White, Eric White and wife Tara, Daniel White, Daniel Schreiner and wife Amber, Meggie Schreiner: her great grandchildren, Avery Hayden, Oliver Doran, Matilde Doran, Emmett Doran, Gannon White, Willow White, Elayna Schreiner and Evan Schreiner and her niece Patty Wood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 16, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Maurice Church, 100 Wightman Road New Britain. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, 95 Flanders Road Southington. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square New Britain.
