Obituary of Robert A. Legnani

Robert A. Legnani, 93, passed away on September 29, 2023. Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Rosato Legnani, brother Anthony (Vilma) son William Jackson, Jr., daughter Deborah Melchiore (Frank) 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was predeceased by his sister Carol DelValle, brother Richard, son Perry, daughters Brenda and Cynthia and grandson William Jackson III.

Robert served in the Korean War and fought in the Battle of Pork Chop Hill. He was a talented musician who taught music in Catholic schools for many years. He played the accordion and piano at special events and was a member of the Italian Political Club for over 50 years. Robert was a comedian at heart and was loved by everyone he met. The family wishes to thank everyone who supported Nancy during the last years of Robert’s life.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
