The 3 Generals, Phil, Betty, Omerthia, sitting in honored lawn chairs on the extra wide driveway on the corner of Ellis and Collins Streets, waving and nodding to all who walked or passed by. Their presence assured all, that life was good. Everyone was welcomed and accepted into that goodness. Phil and Betty's dog Penny, and later Monty, added the finishing touches to the welcome into all things peaceful and good.
For me, the neighbor across the Street, 20 years younger than Betty, she was a dear and trusted friend to me, a mentor. I loved her, and will keep her in my heart always. Bye for now, sweet and lovely Betty.

To the LaGassey family:
What I know about Mrs. Lagassey, is that she raised two loving and thoughtful sons, who cared for their Mom on a daily basis for many years. May your Mom rest in peace and God's blessings to you all.
