Q: What was Gerard like as a child?
A: Gerard was friendly, outgoing and enjoyed riding his bike with other neighborhood kids to East End Park during summer. There we played baseball, checkers, flew as high as we could on the swings before jumping off to see who could go the farthest. He found walking the swamp bogs from the park to the Cremo Brewery and building forts among the empty wooden cases a real pleasure. Gerard always shared his room filled with books and games with all the neighborhood kids!
Never one to argue or fight, Gerard was just a great friend who treated everyone the same!
Sorry Barbara, I'm sure Gerard was a wonderful husband and father to your children. May he rest in Peace.
