Obituary of Dorothy G. Laskowski

Dorothy G. (Fortin) Laskowski, 97, of Kensington died peacefully Tuesday (May 31, 2022) at home. She was born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Eugene and Esther (Iverson) Fortin and moved to Berlin in 1948. Dorothy was the wife of the late Theodore J. Laskowski who she met while employed at The Fafnir Bearing Company and married in 1946. She also worked at the Beaton & Cadwell Company in New Britain before staying home to raise her family. She was a long time parishioner of St. Paul’s Church and enjoyed family and her home in New Hampshire where she snowmobiled during the winter months. Mrs. Laskowski is survived by her son Gary and his wife, Deborah Laskowski of East Haddam and her grandson, Gage Laskowski, of Gainesville, Virginia. She was predeceased by her sister, Eileen Zeboski of New Britain, her sister Audrey Trembly of Manchester, New Hampshire and her brother Eugene (Buddy) Fortin of Kensington. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Paul’s Church in Kensington. Burial followed in Wilcox Cemetery, East Berlin.
