Obituary of Raymond J. LeClair

Raymond J. LeClair, 81, of New Britain, passed away, peacefully, Tuesday (Apr. 6, 2021) at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare in Wallingford, with his son, Ray, by his side. Born in New Britain Raymond was a lifelong resident, and was the son of Lucien and Yvonne (Dussault). He was the widower of Patricia (Vernacatola) LeClair.
He was a long time employee of Fafnir Bearing as a lead supervisor and machinist where he was also a member of the Fire Brigade. He was a carpenter at heart, enjoyed woodworking, walking at the mall and Country Line Dancing, that he did with his wife for many years. He enjoyed taking his metal detector to various parks looking for treasures. Raymond also enjoyed feeding the squirrels in his yard every day, all of which he named Henry.
Raymond is survived by his children, Yvonne and her husband, Paul Gerardi, Lisa and her husband, Tom Tanguay, Tammy Vierira, Robert LeClair, Raymond and his wife, Janet LeClair and her children David and his wife Heather Bruce and their children, Madison and Emma; his treasured grandson, Matthew; his very dear sister, Doris, and her husband Paul Gilberto, several nieces and nephews, and his Good Little cat, Max. In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is also predeceased by his son in law, Justin Vierira Jr. and two brothers, Marcel LeClair and Roger LeClair, along with several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Saturday (April 10, 2021) 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Apostles Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church) 655 East St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. A walk through visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
