Bonnie Jean Beaupre, 61 of New Britain, passed away on Tuesday January 19 at a local hospital after a long illness. Born on July 1, 1959, she is the daughter of the late Roger and Ann Marie (LaChance) Beaupre. A lifelong resident, she attended St. Mary, Nathan Hale and New Britain High School graduating in 1977. She was employed for many years at New Britain General Hospital as a CNA in the Emergency Room, a unit secretary and as a phlebotomist.
She leaves behind her husband Arturo Bravo Jr. of New Britain and her beloved cat pumpkin. Her loving and devoted sisters Carlene Beaupre of New Britain, her caregiver for the past year, Debbie and brother-in-law Leo Wyzatecki of Colchester Ct. Her nephews Alex and Stephen Wyzatecki both of Colchester. The loves of her life, Bonnie took care of her nephews in their younger years and was their second mom. Bonnie also leaves behind many cousins and many dear friends, especially Auria Galarza.
Bonnie fought a hard and long battle with cancer for most of her life. In all her adversity, her strength and courage outshined it all and was an inspiration to all of those who were blessed to have known her. She will be missed everyday, a bright star now to shine from up above. Rest in peace our dear sister and Aunt.
There will be no calling hours. Interment and a graveside service will be at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in the spring.
