Obituary of Lucien S. Archacki

**UPDATED SERVICE INFO** Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life he lived to the fullest at a Mass being held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad Street, New Britain, CT. Military Honors will be held on the church grounds following the Mass. Lucien S. “Archie” Archacki, a life-long resident of New Britain died Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the age of 96. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris “Bobby” LeBrun Archacki. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Stanislaw Archacki and Marjanna Zengotta Archacki; his daughter, Lorraine Archacki; brother, Joseph Archacki; and sisters Stella Gaj, Lucy Ogonowski, and Pauline Walicki. He will be greatly missed by the family he leaves behind – his daughters and their husbands, Lois (Mark) Eddins of Plantsville, CT, Marilyn (Michael) Haimm of Pompano Beach, FL and Joyce (Mark) Davis of Concord, MA; his grandchildren, Gabe Hare, Blake (Katie) Eddins, Alexandra Eddins, Chelsea Haimm, Matthew Haimm, Cameron Davis, and Spencer Davis; his great-grandchildren, Wesley Eddins, and Calla Eddins; his brother, Stanley Archacki of Southington, CT, his sister, Rosalie Sidlik, of New Britain, CT and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. In addition to his family, he will also be greatly missed by his loving and caring companion of 28 years, Aspasia “Bess” Tierney. She was an integral part of his life after the loss of his wife. Archie was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army’s 44th Division. He was first and foremost a family man who worked tirelessly to provide for his wife and four daughters. He was the “rock” of the family. After retiring from many years of working at both Marlin Rockwell/TRW and Sears Roebuck, he worked on improving his golf game at Stanley Golf Course in New Britain. He also loved traveling in his retirement. Archie and Bess took many trips and especially enjoyed when they involved a visit to a casino. Always the gentleman, he lived a simple but happy life. The family is very grateful for the wonderful care he received at both Arbor Rose and the skilled nursing floor in the North Wing of Jerome Home in New Britain. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A Memorial Mass with Military Honors to celebrate his life will be held at a later date due to Covid concerns. Donations in his honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
