Dear Maria
It has been decades but Ashwinee and I still remember Paul for his tireless work as Superintendent of schools in New Britain who advocated vociferously for our students. I met him and got to know him through meetings at the Board of Education as someone from the community with our daughters attending the schools in New Britain. I taught Physics at CCSU and Paul solicited my opinion on educational issues as they pertained to science and how we could enhance its delivery in our schools. Regrettably, I lost touch with him after he was hounded out of the district by disgruntled elements in the district.
We are both saddened by his passing. Please accept our deepest condolences.
In mourning
Sadu and Ashwinee

Dr, Sequeira was a great person to look up to. I will never forget his kind words and advice he gave me many times when he worked for the City of Waterbury, He always remember who I was and called me by my name every time we had the opportunity to talk during City events and back to school rallies. He was such an inspiration to me and a very respectful person. He will always be remembered. People like him is very hard to find. My condolence to his family on behalf of mine. I am deeply sad to hear about his passing. I know he is in a better place. God bless you and my prayers also go out to the family for strength and health.

Paul was a very thoughtful and knowledgeable gentleman. He was warm and never boastful of his many achievements. Nor did he seek sympathy for his many challenges, but rather continued to offer his counsel. Our prayers are with him, Maria and his family. Love, Patty and John

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember fondly sitting at the conference room table at 30B and listening intently for his quick, quiet one liners. I would be laughing hard and the rest of the people would look at me like I was crazy. The good Doctor would give a quick smirk my way and continue the discussion. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

Dr. Sequeira was a professor of mine at Western CT State University. He then asked me to apply for a teaching position in the New Britain School District as he was taking his place as the new Superintendent. I am currently in my 28th year of teaching in the City of New Britain, thanks to him. Dr. Sequeira gave me the chance to begin my teaching career straight out of college. It is because of him that I am where I am today.
I remember Dr. Sequeira's smile and great big hugs. I think of him often and thank him for providing me the opportunities he did. I think I would have made him proud. He was a true gentleman as well as a gentle-man.
My condolences go out to his family, friends and former colleagues. He was a special man who touched many lives.
He left this world better than he found it.
Sincerely,
Amy (Lovell) Gagne

I remember when he came to our Dr. Seuss celebration at Bucks Hill School several years ago and a conversation we had afterward. We were giving out our thank you gifts (packets of seeds) which led to an interesting discussion about gardening. He was a very smart man. I am so sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. Sequeira's passing. He was a thoughtful and caring person. Sending my condolences to his family, especially thinking of Robert, who was my student. Your dad loved you and your brother very much and was very proud of you. We had several long talks about our children and his love for you was very clear. May his memory be a blessing.
