We are so very sorry to hear of Vin's passing. All the Summers at The Lake, even though I was very young, I have the fondest memories of 'Uncle Vinny' being so kind to me. He and Joyce would frequently stop into our Florist in Rocky Hill after they danced away at Ballroom practice across the street. I remember he and Joyce coming down to our home here in East Hampton, CT so many times to pick grapes in the not too distant past. My husband, Sean, would kid him about the 'proof' his jarred grape jelly would turn out to be and Vin always said they would be 'intoxicatingly sweet' with a smile. So many nice memories of such a wonderful, nice man. What a fun person, either on the phone or just visiting us to chat. We will miss him greatly. Joyce & Family - I was very sorry to hear of Vinnie's passing. I was thinking of him only recently and remembering fondly our days together in the Hartford Public Defenders Office with our many wonderful colleagues. I always admired Vin for his kindness and his dedication to his less fortunate clients. It was a privilege to be his friend and fellow Public Defender. He truly was one of the good guys who made the world a better place. Peace to all of you. Gerry Smyth
