It is hard for me to write this. I can't believe Barbara is gone. If you have never loved someone for almost 15 to 20 years (I can't remember how long it has been), it is difficult to imagine she is no longer here. If you had known Barbara Goodrich, you would have known her to be "top drawer" and you would be "special." I feel very special to have known her. God keep her in the palm of his hand, free from pain, and Bless her ALWAYS!!!

To the Goodrich family and Barbara's many friends,
I will miss Barbara more than I can possibly say. She was always so very kind to me. As a son of Connecticut, I never tired of talking about my home with her though I moved away so many years ago.
Moreover, her experience in the mortgage industry as a state executive director was invaluable to me and so many others. I'm not alone in finding it impossible to imagine working without her and not hearing her voice and advice when a difficult decision was required.
Please accept my deepest condolences at this difficult time.

To the Vosney/Goodrich family:
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Barbara for more than 40 years. When I met her she was working for the Home Builders. I was delighted when the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers (CMBA) hired her in their organizing years. She played a critical role in building the strength within CMBA that made our industry an affective advocate during the challenging years that filled CMBA’s future. The success CMBA has enjoyed over the years would never have been realized without Barbara’s persistence, loyalty, friendliness, and warmth.
At the personal level, we shared our devotion to our home town of New Britain and personal tragedies that we supported each other through. I know from the stories she shared with me that she must have been a great mother and grandmother. But most of all to me she was a great friend.
I’m sorry that out of town travel will keep me from extending personal condolences on Friday. How blessed we all are who have had Barbara in our lives.

Dear Patricia and Lacey,
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. As St. Paul says, Barbara 'fought the good fight and reached the finish line. A merited crown awaits her..." I'm sorry that I am not able to extend my sympathy to you in person. I pray for her when I pass her room at Saint Mary Home. Peace to you.

I was blessed to have the opportunity to get to know Barbara through our work with our sister trade associations over the course of a couple of decades. She was the consummate professional and always willing to assist us with her wealth of knowledge and valuable insight. Beyond that she was one of the most caring and considerate people that I have ever met.She will be missed by many more than she could have possibly imagined because of the indelible imprint that she made in our lives.
May God bless you during your time of mourning. May Barbara rest in Peace and may His perpetual light shine upon her.You are all in my prayers.

Barb to my special friend and colleague. I've known you for a lifetime. Your dedication and service to the mortgage industry is immeasurable. You put Connecticut on the map. My best years were president of the CMBA working beside you. We worked hard and played hard. I'll always consider you one of my closest friends. I'll miss you dearly . I'm not saying goodbye cause we'll see each other again someday. Until then save me a seat right next to you at that big casino in the sky. Win big up there!!! Love always and forever.

My condolences to all who knew Barbara. I was a junior high school kid when I first met Barbara while waiting for my buddy Ed at his parents' house. Barbara (and Pat) always paid a lot attention to me and Ed's other friends. Engaging us in conversations, asking and saying things that sometimes totally embarrassed us. We loved the attention. Barbara would go out her way to drive us somewhere, basketball games at CCSU where New Britain High played some games. She gave us very kind advice regarding girlfriends, clothing, and behavior. From the obituary I see that Barbara's gift of attention, interest and affection was a lifetime gift to everyone. She will live on in hearts of a lot of us.

Echoing what Ross said so well.
Barbara brought a lot of people together and helped many develop in the industry.
She always challenged everyone to help the industry via CMBA.
But many people did things just because it was for Barbara.
And her personality was what made it fun.

Barbara, what a loss... to so many of us. You were a special friend and colleague. You WERE the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association. There from the beginning, there through the toughest of times when many thought it might be time to toss in the towel, but you always did whatever it took to get us to the next chapter. I know you often wished the word technology and mortgage were not mentioned in the same sentence, yet you always hung in and grew with the changes...you found a way! We owe you an extreme debt of gratitude, but our true loss is your friendship. Thank you for everything.
