Obituary of Marisol Castillo

Marisol Castillo, 61, of New Britain, died unexpectedly on Thursday, (November 9, 2017) at home. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Annie Castillo Rodriguez and William Castillo of New York. She was a New Britain resident most of her life.  In addition to her father, she is survived by her sons, Jose A. Diaz, William Diaz, and Jorge Heredia; her daughters Tamara Heredia, Vanessa Santos, and Tanairis Morales all of Connecticut; a host of grandchildren; her sisters, Marisela (Castillo) Martinez and her husband Jose of Florida, and Alma Castillo of New Jersey; her brothers, William Castillo of New Haven and David Castillo of New York; her boyfriend, Ramon Rodriguez; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (Nov. 14) from 6-8 PM at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial will be on Friday (Nov. 17) at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary Cemetery 1141 Stanley Street, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o the funeral home.
