Obituary of Anna Louise Stankis
Anna Louise (Donnelly) Stankis, 89, widow of Joseph Stankis, passed into eternal rest on July 4, 2017. She was predeceased by a sister, Rita Kindl. Her youngest sister, Joan Donnelly, resides in Rocky Hill. She also leaves behind her two daughters and their husbands, Kathleen and Robert Hackney and Maureen and Bruno Czenczelewski, all of Bristol. Four grandchildren, Kyle Hackney and Nicole of Fairfield, Matthew Hackney and Taylor of Shelton, Breanna Czenczelewski of Santa Barbara, CA, Derek Czenczelewski of Bristol and three great-grandchildren, Jake, Stella and Mason.
Louise worked for 19 years at Sage-Allen West Farms Mall as a Children’s Dept. Manager until retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and its Ladies Guild. She enjoyed traveling to Maine with her dear friend, Rita Dubois, as well as duckpin bowling, shopping and spending time with her family. Her Jello molds and potato salads were hands down the best!
Thank you to the staff at Bel-Air Manor of Newington and Mulberry Gardens of Southington for their kind, compassionate care of our mouther as well as Masonicare Hospice throughout her “long goodbye”.
Funerals services will be held Saturday (July 8, 2017) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1755 Stanley St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30 Am until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
