Obituary of Linda K. Perrotta
Linda K. Perrotta, 71, of New Britain, passed away Saturday (June 24, 2017) at home, surrounded by her family. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Anthony and Alida (Lawless) Scalise, she was a lifelong resident. She was the beloved wife of Anthony Perrotta for 51 years. Linda was employed at Central Connecticut State University for 23 years, retiring in 2008. Prior to that, Linda worked at American Savings Bank in New Britain and in the court system for the State of Connecticut. She also was a volunteer at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by two sons, Anthony and his wife Kim Perrotta of Kensington, James and his wife Tammy Perrotta of Middletown; six grandchildren, Nicole, Megan and Sarah of Berlin and Chelsea, Amanda and Samantha of Middletown; a brother, Robert Scalise of New Britain; three sisters, Susan Bartucca of Plainville, Marcia LeSeur of Plainville and Virginia Germano of Old Saybrook and several nieces and nephews.
Family was very important to Linda and she cherished the time she spent with them as well as with her friends. Sunday night dinners with her granddaughters, Friday night cards and vacations to Florida were just some of her highlights.
The family would like to thank hospice nurse Katelin Bouchard for the care and support she provided to Linda and her family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday (June 29th) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church North St. New Britain. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum, in New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 8:00 AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
