Obituary of Grace E. Johnson

Grace E. (Wolfer) Johnson, 98, of New Britain, died Saturday at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Simon and Elizabeth (Sheerer) Wolfer, she was a life long resident. She was the widow of Carl J. Johnson. A long time parishioner of St. Paul's Church in Kensington, she had also served as secretary at St. Paul's School. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter Judith and her husband Daniel McLarty of Burlington, her son George W. Johnson of Fitchburg, MA, three grandchildren, Erin and her husband Mark Dunton of Vernon, Catherine McLarty of Burlington, and Steven McLarty of East Hartford; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Burial will follow in Wilcox Cemetery, East Berlin. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
