Elaine (Moscatelli) Tucciarone, 59, of Torrington, beloved wife of Alex Tucciarone, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2011. Born in New Britain on August 24, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Alvesi and Josephine Moscatelli. Elaine moved to Torrington in 1975 and was active in the community and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harwinton, touching many lives. She worked at Stanley Works for many years prior to moving to Torrington. Elaine worked for many years in the Torrington School System prior to her illness enjoying her work and always had the best interest of the students. She was an avid reader, enjoyed volunteering at the St. Jude's Telethon for many years, but always made the time to watch her children and grandchildren grow up. In addition to her husband, she leaves her son Scott, his wife Jessica (Beckman) Tucciarone, her daughter Susan Tucciarone her three grandsons Logan, Tyler and Dylan, which she loved dearly; her sister Linda (Moscatelli) Voisine and her husband Leroy, her brother William Moscatelli, her step-brother Utemi Moscatelli, her sister-in-law Karen (Tucciarone) Lomascolo, her sister-in-law Mary (Tucciarone) Cunningham and her husband Michael, her brother-in-law Michael Bannon and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her step-sister Antoinette Ferguson, step-brother Peter Tognatelli, sister-in-law Nancy (Tucciarone) Bannon, brother-in-law Michael Lomascolo and in-laws Alexander and Margaret Tucciarone. She will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Church 1010 Slater Rd. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
