Obituary of Pamela Guarino

OBITUARIES Pamela A. Guarino, 57, of Middletown, died Sunday July 4, 2010, at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Middletown, the daughter of Jim and the late Bernice (Binkowski) Guarino, she was a life long resident, graduating from Mercy High School and Manhattanville College. She retired from the State of Connecticut as a liaison in the Department of Mental Health River Valley Services at the Connecticut Valley Hospital. After retirement, she was a social worker at the Cromwell Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Pam was also a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Middletown. In addition to her beloved father, Pam is survived by her loving niece, Catherine Farrell Guarino, her dear friend and cousin Christine Salamone, her dear friends, sister in-law Patricia Farrell and her husband Peter Sipples; her aunt Regina Casserino, all of Middletown; and many cousins. She is also survived by her wonderful friends Barbara Sebold, Susan Burud and Chris Haswell and their families. In addition to her mother, Pam is predeceased by her brother Atty. James V. Guarino. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Middletown. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian's Cemetery, Middlefield. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:30 P.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq., New Britain. Pam's family would like her to be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and her wonderful sense of humor. In her memory, please be kind and giving to others.
