Obituary of Santiago Gonzalez

Santiago Christino Gonzalez, 35, of Hartford, died Thursday in Hartford. He attended New Britain High School, where he was on the wrestling team. He also loved music, art and dancing. Santiago is survived by his mother Mariana Ramos; his father Christopher and his wife Therese Gonzalez; four brothers, Christopher Gonzalez, Jr., Juan "Johnny" Nuñez, Tommy Nuñez, Jesse Nuñez; two sisters Christina Gonzalez, Aixa Gonzalez; and his grandmother, Luz Maria Ramos, two uncles, Santiago Gonzalez, Jr., and Ken Spencer. He had a great love for his many nieces and nephews. Many of his close friends and family members knew him as "Twin", "Shaggy", and "Chagi". Funeral services will be held Friday (Mar. 18, 2016) 9:00AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church 195 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
