Obituary of Dennis H. Neville

NEVILLE, Dennis H., age 65, passed away peacefully at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain on March 22, 2012, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport, Dennis was the son of the late Harold and Margaret Kingston Neville. A Trumbull High School graduate, he attended the University of Iowa and graduated from the University of Connecticut. Employed at Canberra Industries of Meriden for 38 years, he was a Nuclear Engineer. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Dennis proudly served during the Vietnam War as a Staff Sargent specializing in cryptology and was honorably discharged for his service. Survivors include his son Nathaniel and his wife Erin of West Haven, brothers Gary of New Haven, Tom and his wife Sheila of Monroe, numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. Dennis will be remembered for his quiet way, his sense of humor, his storytelling and his passion for the Boston Red Sox and UConn basketball and football. A graveside memorial with military honors will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown. Arrangements are entrusted to the Farrell Funeral Home in New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dennis' memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave. P.O.
