Mary, you always greeted everyone with a smile and when we were at the St Joseph women club when the dance troupe came to visit, you told the Elvis impersonator you had seen him in 1976 the year before he died. He stated he remembered you little lady. You were such a joy to our congregation. The angels are smiling with you now.

I've known Mary for over 10 years and never knew her to be anything other than a good daughter, caring sister, loving auntie and faithful friend. She faced all her life's challenges with enormous faith and grace. She loved her family with all her heart and tried to make them proud of her. She had child-like wonder and a joy so deep it usually made her break out in song and dance. Her bubbly presence will be missed at family gatherings. I feel a profound loss in Mary's passing but will always remember her kind way and forgiving spirit. May God Bless and keep you Mary.

My funny and fun-loving cousin Marybeth: You always called me Marlo Thomas and a "cutie patootie," or however you spell that, on so many Christmas Eves we shared. I will forever remember your zest for life and your very genuine, sincere love of people. Just dance!!!

One of the things I noticed when spending time with the family after Marybeth's passing was something that I'd seen myself. Amid the sadness felt there were many stories recalled, and sharing each of these stories ended with smiles and laughter. It seemed appropriate that the reflections of one's life can be measured by the memories you leave, and the smiles and laughter you've inspired and shared with loved ones. I wish my condolences to those who will continue to share but also miss these smiles and laughter with Marybeth.

To the Smith family, I am very sorry for the loss of Aunt MaryBeth. I met her many years ago, as a longtime friend of the Trudel sisters. It was always obvious how much she loved her nieces, and was always very kind and friendly towards me. With her unique personality, she always brought out a smile and a chuckle in us all. Although I have not seen her in some time, I will miss her and always remember the times she came to visit the home on Fable Lane when we were younger....

I have many fun memories of Marybeth. Angela is one of my very best friends so Auntie Mary was allways around and havingsuch a blast at all times! She was allways the one you saw dancing and heard laughing. She also worked with my grandfather Burt Nye at the Homestead restaurant. He loved her and she allways told me she felt the same. They allways had a blast causing trouble in the kitchen. I am so sorry to her family and many friends for their sudden loss.

My Friend Marybeth......my TRUE friend in every sense of the word. Friends in childhood, we moved to Willimantic together in 1976 and made a life here. Stood by eachother through the happy days as well as the sad days. As much as i was there for her, she was as much there for me, no matter what came our way. We've been through so much together in the last 35 yrs. Since Vinny, Angela, and Scott were babies, they just assumed Marybeth was their 'Aunt'. School functions, dance recitals, holidays, birthdays, regular-days, shopping, out-to-eat, picnics, parties, graduations, celebrations, important times, not important times, endless summer days at 'our lake', our trip to florida, our cruise to bermuda, our yearly vacations, camping trips, and on and on....we did it all together as a family. Marybeth was there at Vinny, Angela, and Scotts weddings. There at the birth of all 5 grandchildren. They loved her as she loved them. Yes, my TRUE, TRUE friend indeed, through all these years! My stubborn, silly, big-hearted, loving, impulsive friend who laughed and cried with me. We'd get so mad at eachother for one thing or another but within minutes all was forgiven and forgotten..We found eachother in this world and leaned on eachother throughout the years. A HUGE part of my life abruptly gone, but the memories never to be forgotten! I'll probably pick up the phone to call you for many days to come before i realize you're not there. Thank-You Mary "friends always" (we would say) I love you Mary............................Lynn (After all,Didn't we see Elvis together!!!???!!!)
