Obituary of DeDra Ahern

DeDra A. (Charamut) Ahern, 66, of Berlin, died Tuesday at the Twin Maples Healthcare in Durham. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Walter and Myra (Lucas) Charamut she lived in New Britain and Berlin most of her life. She was the wife of the late James F. Ahern. DeDra is survived by two sons James E. Ahern and his wife Sherri of Middlefield, and Scott Ahern and his wife Rebecca of Plainville; four grandchildren Nicole Ahern and James C. Ahern of Middlefield; Kara Ahern and Michael James Ahern of Plainville and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be held today (Friday) from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin sq. New Britain. Burial will be private. Donations may be made to the Klingberg Family Centers 370 Linwood St. New Britain, CT 06052. The family would like to thank the staff of the Twin Maples Healthcare in Durham for their care of DeDra.
